Women in STEM Summer Bridge Accelerator (WiSTEM)

The WiSTEM Program at Spelman is a six-week summer residential program for incoming first-year students who plan to pursue a STEM (science, engineering or mathematics) major.

Program Dates: Sunday, June 10 - Friday, July 20

Students admitted to the program will reside on the Spelman College campus. The program components include credit-bearing courses (mathematics and computer programming), hands-on, interdisciplinary research projects, and college-preparation enrichment activities. Residential tutors will be provided. Mentoring and academic advising by the program co-directors will continue throughout academic year 2018-19.

  • Application Deadline: Monday, April 16
  • Notice of Program Acceptance: Wednesday, May 9
  • Program Cost: Tuition is paid for by the program. The approximate cost for room & board/expenses is $2300
