Roy Martinez, Ph.D.
The College is saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Roy Martinez, Professor of Philosophy and Religion, Academic Affairs Division. Dr. Martinez dedicated over 21 years of service to Spelman College.

A celebration of his life is tentatively being planned
for September 24, 2009.

The department of philosophy and religious studies offers two majors, one in philosophy and the other in religious studies. The two majors enrich each other, but retain their separate identities and missions.
